If you love setting goals, this post is for you! First, let me ask you a question. Do you want to be more productive? If the answer is yes, great! This is precisely what I’ll teach you in this post.

Why does it matter, though? Being productive, I mean?
Well, from your point of view, being productive (with that, a proven productivity process) will enable you to get tasks done faster and more consistently, reducing mental overload and procrastination.
You’ll get things done as efficiently as possible without burning out, so you can return to the fun stuff without wasting precious time.
Productivity Process?
Productivity means different things to different women.
Being productive to me means getting things done but not taking shortcuts. Doing it properly—avoiding the task altogether is not being productive!
Productivity is a way of organizing and planning. It’s taking action on tasks that must be done and doing them as best as possible.
What’s the difference between being productive and getting things done? Getting things done means completing your tasks. On the other hand, productivity means completing tasks quickly, efficiently, and with enjoyment and satisfaction.
It’s about achieving goals while improving and doing things the right way.
Being productive means performing your tasks at the correct times and as efficiently as possible.
Big caveat! Being productive doesn’t mean that you will complete all the tasks that come your way, much as we’d like to! Productivity isn’t being busy!
Why does being productive matter?
There are two reasons why productivity matters. First of all, being productive can make your life much easier. If you’re productive, you’ll finish more tasks in less time.
Being productive helps you become more efficient. Efficiency means you can do more in less time. Sounds great for those of us knee-deep in mom life, right?!
The second reason productivity matters is that you create free time for doing things you enjoy.
This may be spending time with loved ones or doing activities you value. And who doesn’t want more of the good stuff?

Smart goals
There are numerous ways to improve productivity. One straightforward way is to set goals and check them off when you’re done!
It’s easy to overcomplicate things these days, I feel. This is why I stick to the most straightforward system. A pad of paper or a Google doc!
Simply write stuff down—it’s that easy! Once you’re done, enjoy that dopamine hit by putting a line through it. Setting goals helps us be more productive by giving us direction.
To do list
Many people set goals they think they can accomplish easily or quickly or that they “need” to do, which is a massive mistake.
“There’s no bigger waste of time than efficiently doing what never needed to be done in the first place!“
First, make sure any goals you set are what you want to have happen. Use the following steps to write down your goals.
First, sit down and take a moment to think about what you want out of your life. Take your time with this – perhaps do it when the kids are sleeping in the evening.
Write down a maximum of 3 goals, making sure to include all the details. I say 3 as that’s more than enough to start with; we don’t want to overwhelm ourselves. What you want to achieve is very important here, but also consider how you will get it. What do you need to do?
Next, decide to do it! Commit to yourself. Say a little declaration right there on the spot.
This is a biggie. People often fail in productivity simply because their decision wasn’t strong enough – or their goal wasn’t right for them.
Execute your goal by taking specific action toward it next. Set daily action steps ahead of time (maybe the night before?) Tiny steps are the way forward. Incremental steps in the right direction every day, and you’ll get there.

Moving forward
One thing I want to mention is that of system process automation. A lot of entrepreneurs use automated systems to improve their workflow and productivity.
But I would be wary of automation if you’re not confident about your work. Ensure you get proper advice from the company you’d be paying to help with automation so it’s set up correctly.
My experience is sometimes tech stuff can waste more time than it can create! (Oops!)
Productivity process for you
If you want a proven, structured way to increase your productivity, look no further than this free goal-setting workbook I created.
It’s one of my best-selling creations, and for a limited time, I’m offering it at zero cost with no catch (it’s not a freebie to get you on my email list, don’t worry…)
However, it has helped multiple women clarify their goals and, therefore, become more productive and less distractible.
