Are you keen to learn about crystals to improve your confidence and courage? Maybe you love the look of them (like I do!), all sparkly and pretty?
I thought crystals looked amazing and felt nice to hold, but then I took a degree in medical ultrasound imaging (eons ago, back in 2010) and discovered a quartz crystal sitting right inside the ultrasound machine!
And, of course, a crystal is found in computers and other electronic devices as a reliable piezoelectric material (that’s the last techy word I’ll use here, lol)
Whaaaaat?!? I know!
Crystals for confidence and courage
This got me thinking about using crystals in other ways.
Perhaps you can charge the crystal from other sources (such as the sun or falling water?) or even learn how old and wise a crystal can be when you look at its intricacy and detail.
I personally love anything natural that enhances the quality of life, and crystals are one of those things.
In this post, I’ll share my favorite crystals for confidence and courage to remove negative energy and help step into that awesome personal power we can all muster (plus make your home look gorgeous!)
Powerful crystal
Did you know that crystals have specific energies that can influence how you feel? Crystals really are a wonderful tool for low self-esteem and to boost inner strength.
I carried a crystal in my pocket during my school and university exams, and still keep it in my purse to this day. It’s a green Amazonite crystal and totally my favorite – the crystal I feel most connected to.
A powerful stone can in fact be a great grounding tool for meditation and focusing the mind.
Simply holding the crystal in your hand and experiencing the texture and coolness (or warmth in some cases) is a balancing, calming, earthly experience.
Crystals are also wonderful as decoration in the home. You could place them alongside house plants to add some colour, or pick whichever one you like depending on their properties.
Perhaps a Lapis Lazuli for clarity and healing or Clear Quartz for alignment and manifestation?
Crystals for courage
The best stones, in my opinion, are the ones you choose yourself.
You walk straight into a crystal shop and sense whichever one you want. I’m a crystal shop junkie and never miss the opportunity to browse the shelves, finding a great stone that speaks to me every time.
Crystals come in all shapes and sizes, from raw and unpolished to round and glossy to their shiny awesomeness.
Different crystals have different effects on every one of us.
What I find a great crystal may not be your ideal stone, and vice versa. But some crystals are renowned for having certain properties, such as minimizing negative feelings or enhancing creative energy.
Other crystals are great for mental focus, some for inner peace, others for managing stressful situations, etc.
Confidence crystals
Rose Quartz
Perhaps not one of the usual crystals for enhanced confidence and courage, but I feel it deserves its spot at the top of my list!
Rose quartz is a beautiful dusky pink stone that exudes femininity and beauty. Because of this, it has a powerful psychological effect.
Known as the stone of unconditional love, it’s linked to the heart chakra and can evoke a feeling of confidence because of its connections to LOVE.
But how do you define love?
Well, that’s up to you to decide for yourself.
Love to me is intense, “I can’t live without you” feelings toward those we care about the most.
But love can also feel different. I have a genuine love for this entire planet and all its people simply because I choose to tune in to those feelings.
And I want more of those feelings in my life! Rose quartz helps me with that.
Simply looking at it and holding it in your palm will help you tune into love in yourself and help you develop confidence through practicing self-love and self-compassion.

Tiger’s Eye
This stone exudes grounding earth energy and high vibration, making it a superb companion when seeking confidence and courage. It’s like a stone of protection, traditionally carried by those wishing to banish curses.
Psychologically, Tiger’s eye is a healer of critical self-worth and low self-esteem, boosting your vibes from within. I find just holding my Tiger’s eye in my palm and looking at it gives me a confidence boost.
Sounds crazy, I know! Maybe it’s the earthly colors…
Red Jasper
Not only one of the gorgeous crystals to look at – the color is to die for! Red Jasper is a tremendous stone for courage, being called the stone of endurance.
Being in a space with a Red Jasper crystal boosts self-confidence and prevents negative energies.
This has a long history as a healing stone, profoundly connected to the Earth. It grounds the user and develops courage when needed. It is a wonderful stone to have in your handbag or to wear as jewellery.
Blue Lace Agate
Well known as a stone that brings positivity and happiness, Blue Lace Agate is also a good idea to calm down the nervous system if you’re anxious or stressed.
The delicate blue-white colour is wonderfully soothing. It’s also a very hard stone, so it’s cool to the touch.
It’s becoming rare to find genuine Blue Lace Agate these days, as some fake versions are artificially dyed (- avoid!)
But if you’re lucky enough to find one, then do sit for a while with it near you or in your hand, or place it on an area of your body that needs some TLC and focus on the sensation.
Expect to feel relief and calm in doing so.
