( a poem for the one who got us through )
Six years of marriage to you It's Iron - this one I thought you knew But perhaps you don't know? Just how much I love you so Here, read, now, below This year I almost lost you To a wave that took your heart and soul Yet the goal I know Was not to take you But instead of realigning the flow Slow down, stop the hustle Sit back, listen, to the rustle Of leaves, trees, watch the bees Be with them on our knees My love, these are my words to you That thing that happened Long may the day come Where we shake it off Brush away the agony & pain And say, you know what? We fucking did it We got through this and WON Now, we see life differently, The best is yet to come! So say it is, say it will be 6 years married, 6 years new I love you always, now and forever Love is what gets us through
